02Cashier models

Three cashier models, one wallet, one back office.

How much of the cashier is crypto. Pick by market and licence; change the mix later without a migration. The model follows your players' habits and what the licence holder approves. All three reconcile in the same back office and report GGR in your base currency.

Model A · crypto-only

Crypto-only

Deposits, balances and withdrawals in crypto. Balances held in the asset or in a stablecoin, with optional display in a reference fiat currency. Lowest PSP overhead, narrowest audience.

Fits
Crypto-native brands, markets with weak card acquiring
Watch
Licence rules on crypto, on-ramp for players who hold none yet
Most commonModel B · hybrid

Hybrid fiat + crypto

Cards, e-wallets, local methods and crypto in one cashier. Balances kept in fiat; crypto deposits converted at the gateway rate, withdrawals paid back in the asset the player chooses.

Fits
Most international brands; players choose the rail
Watch
Conversion spread and gateway fees in the margin model
Model C · add-on

Fiat with crypto add-on

An existing fiat brand adds one or two crypto methods for players who ask for them. Minimal change to operations and reporting: the gateway appears as another payment method in the cashier and in reconciliation.

Fits
Running brands testing demand for crypto
Watch
Licence-holder approval for the added rail

03Gateways & assets

Licensed gateways. Funds never touch Platform1.

Licensed gateways, integrated like any PSP. We integrate crypto gateways the same way we integrate fiat PSPs: under your or the licence holder's merchant account, with routing, reconciliation and reporting in the back office.

04Content

Provably-fair, crash and instant games alongside the standard catalogue.

Content for crypto brands. Crypto players expect crash and provably-fair titles. They also play slots and live tables. All of it comes through the same aggregation and is enabled under the licence.

A

Crash, instant and provably-fair

Studios such as Spribe, Turbo Games, Smartsoft, Kiron, Golden Race and others. Provably-fair titles publish the seed and hash so a player can verify each round.

B

Slots

10,000+ games from 100+ studios through aggregation partners, including Pragmatic Play, Play'n GO, NetEnt, Hacksaw Gaming. Enabled per market and per licence.

C

Live casino

Evolution, Pragmatic Play Live, Playtech Live, Ezugi and regional tables. Available to crypto brands where the studio’s licence terms permit.

NoteStudio availability for crypto brands varies: some studios restrict crypto-only operators or specific licences. We confirm the exact catalogue at the scoping stage.

05Compliance

Crypto is a payment rail, not a licence substitute.

Compliance reality check. Some providers sell crypto casinos as a way around licensing and KYC. That is not a product we offer, and it is not a business that lasts. Here is what still applies to a crypto casino platform.

05.1

A gaming licence is still required

Accepting crypto does not change what the activity is. A crypto casino runs under a partner licence on white label or your own licence on turnkey, with the same approval of markets, content and payment rails. Platform1 never holds the licence.

05.2

KYC thresholds apply

Licences set when a player must be verified: at registration, or at a cumulative deposit or withdrawal threshold. We configure the platform to those thresholds, including source-of-funds requests on larger crypto deposits.

05.3

Travel rule and AML

Licensed gateways are subject to travel-rule obligations and sanctions screening on wallet addresses. Expect originator and beneficiary data to be collected on transfers above the applicable threshold, and plan the player flow around it.

05.4

Some markets restrict crypto gambling

Several regulated markets prohibit crypto deposits for licensed operators or restrict them to specific conditions. Geo-blocking and per-market cashier rules are configured accordingly; we tell you where crypto is not an option before you plan around it.

05.5

Responsible gaming does not switch off

Deposit, loss and session limits, cool-off and self-exclusion apply to crypto balances the same way as to fiat, converted at the reference rate, and are configured per market.

05.6

Audit trail in your base currency

Every crypto transaction is recorded with asset, network, confirmation, rate and fee, and reported in fiat for the regulator and your accountants. The crypto detail stays available for audit.

NoteWe prepare the technical documentation for licence applications and work with your legal advisers on the crypto-specific questions. Platform1 is a technology provider, not the licence holder.

06Timeline

Implementation in 10–14 weeks. Gateway onboarding is the long bar.

Crypto casino on white label: the standard white label plan with gateway onboarding and provably-fair content added. This is our implementation time, counted from a signed agreement and completed KYC. The calendar date depends on how fast contracts with payment providers and game studios are signed under the licence: that part is outside our control and usually sets the pace. Gateway onboarding adds its own KYC cycle, which is why the crypto range is longer than the fiat one.

Platform1 / your workThird-party contracts: PSPs, studios, licence holder. They set the calendar date

NoteHatched bars are third-party timing. The gateway’s merchant onboarding and the licence holder’s approval of the added rail are signed by those parties and set the calendar date; the solid bars are ours. On turnkey under your own licence, plan for 6–9 months, with gateway contracts in your own name.

07Pricing

The gateway is a pass-through, not a platform fee.

Crypto casino cost: the same structure as the route you choose. On white label: setup fee and revenue share. On turnkey: project fee and support contract. We quote per project after a scoping call; the crypto cashier changes the gateway lines, not the structure.

01 · one-off

Setup fee (white label) or project fee (turnkey)

Configuration or deployment, brand application, cashier model and conversion rules, gateway and PSP onboarding, provably-fair content enablement, KYC thresholds, QA on testnet and mainnet, back-office training. Itemised in the proposal.

02 · monthly

Revenue share (white label) or support contract (turnkey)

Hosting, monitoring, updates and the SLA (99.9% uptime target, 4 hours critical response). Revenue share is a percentage of NGR in your base currency, crypto included at the reference rate; the support contract is a fixed amount.

03 · monthly · at cost

Gateway, PSP and content fees

Gateway transaction fees and conversion spread, fiat PSP fees on hybrid models, game studio fees, KYC checks and on-ramp charges. Passed through without mark-up and reconciled per provider in the back office.

04 · quoted separately

Optional extras

Non-custodial wallet setup and payout approval flows, additional assets or networks beyond the launch set, fully custom front-end, migration of an existing brand, bespoke provably-fair game integrations.

What moves the price

The cashier model (hybrid needs fiat PSP onboarding as well), custodial versus non-custodial gateway, how many assets and networks on day one, and the licence route.

What does not

The number of crypto transactions on the platform side, the number of back-office users, and the number of games you enable.

08Questions

Crypto casino questions.

The questions we hear on every first call about a crypto casino solution. If yours is not here, book a 30-minute call and ask the engineers directly.

Book a 30-minute call
Do I still need a gaming licence for a crypto casino?
Yes. Accepting crypto changes the payment rail, not the legal status of the activity. A crypto casino operates under a gaming licence like any other: a partner's licence on white label or your own on turnkey. We do not launch unlicensed brands, and Platform1 never holds the licence itself.
How long does a crypto casino take to launch?
Our implementation takes 10–14 weeks on white label. The extra time compared with a fiat brand goes into gateway onboarding and the provably-fair content setup. This is our implementation time, counted from a signed agreement and completed KYC. The calendar date depends on how fast contracts with payment providers and game studios are signed under the licence: that part is outside our control and usually sets the pace. On turnkey under your own licence, plan for 6–9 months.
Which cryptocurrencies does the crypto casino platform support?
BTC, ETH, USDT on TRC-20 and ERC-20, LTC and the main stablecoins through the gateways we integrate. Additional assets and networks depend on the gateway and can usually be enabled on request. The cashier shows balances in the asset or in a reference fiat currency, as you configure it.
Does Platform1 hold player funds or private keys?
No. Deposits and withdrawals run through licensed custodial or non-custodial gateways under your or the licence holder's account. Platform1 integrates, routes and reconciles; it never custodies funds or keys.
Can players stay anonymous on a crypto casino?
Not beyond what the licence allows. Most licences require KYC at registration or at a deposit or withdrawal threshold, and travel-rule obligations apply to many gateways. We configure the thresholds the licence specifies; we do not build around them.
Can I add crypto to a casino that is already running?
Yes. The fiat-plus-crypto-add-on model in the cashier models section is built for that: the gateway appears as another payment method in the cashier and in reconciliation, with no change to the wallet or the back office. On a brand running elsewhere, it is part of a migration or integration project; the licence holder has to approve the added rail first.
