01Routes
White label, turnkey or custom
Which casino platform route fits you. Same platform underneath. The white label vs turnkey casino platform decision is about licence, capital, control and what you want to own in three years. This page puts the three routes side by side so you can make that call before the first meeting.
Timelines are our implementation time from a signed agreement; the calendar date depends on contracts with PSPs, studios and licence authorities.
02Three routes
Three routes, one platform.
Same engine on every route. What changes is who holds the licence, where the platform runs and how you pay for it.
White label casino
Your brand on our platform, operating under a partner's licence. We run infrastructure, content and payments; you run marketing and players.
- Licence
- partner's
- Implementation
- 8–12 weeks
- Model
- setup fee + rev share
Turnkey platform
Deployed under your own licence, in your cloud or data centre. Full data ownership and control; we build, hand over and support.
- Licence
- yours
- Implementation
- 6–9 months
- Model
- project fee + support
Custom development
A platform built to your specification on our core, or features that do not exist yet. For operators with a product team and a roadmap of their own.
- Licence
- yours
- Implementation
- 6–12 months
- Model
- development budget + support
03Comparison
What actually differs between the three routes.
White label, turnkey and custom, side by side. Timelines are our implementation time from a signed agreement. This is our implementation time, counted from a signed agreement and completed KYC. The calendar date depends on how fast contracts with payment providers and game studios are signed under the licence: that part is outside our control and usually sets the pace.
| Criterion | White label | Turnkey | Custom development |
|---|---|---|---|
| Licence holder | Licensed partner; you operate the brand under their licence | You; we prepare the technical documentation for the application | You |
| Implementation time | 8–12 weeks from signed agreement; PSP and studio contracts set the date | 6–9 months; licence approval and contracts set the date | 6–12 months; scope and licence set the date |
| Upfront cost basis | Setup fee; the lowest of the three | Project fee for deployment, integration and handover | Development budget by scope, plus deployment |
| Ongoing cost basis | Revenue share; scales with NGR | Fixed support contract; your own hosting and third-party fees | Support contract; your own hosting, content and PSP contracts |
| Infrastructure & data | Platform1-managed, hosted with ISO 27001-certified cloud providers; player data under the partner licence | Your cloud or data centre; full data ownership and residency control | Your cloud or data centre; full data ownership |
| Customisation | Themes, brand assets, bonus and CRM configuration, content and payment mix | Custom front-end, bonus logic, reporting, integrations and modules on our core | Anything, including new modules and source-level changes |
| Regulated EU markets | Usually not; they require the operator's own licence | Yes, deployed under your national licence | Yes, under your national licence |
| Best for | First brand, market test, affiliates and marketers turning operator | Regulated markets, data-residency rules, operators who want ownership | Operators with a product team and requirements the standard platform does not cover |
| Exit & ownership | Brand and player relationship are yours; platform and licence are not. Migration to turnkey: 10–16 weeks | Platform runs in your environment under your licence; you keep it if the contract ends | You own the delivered code under the development agreement |
04How to decide
Four questions that settle it on the first call.
Most operators know the answer after these four. If you are unsure, start with white label; the move to turnkey is a migration we plan for, not a restart.
Does your target market require you to hold the licence?
Most EU/EEA national regimes do, and several require in-country hosting. That rules out white label and points to turnkey. For Curaçao, Anjouan or Kahnawake, either route works.
Yes → turnkey · No → eitherLower upfront cost, or lower cost at scale?
Revenue share keeps the entry cost down; a fixed support contract costs less once GGR is stable. Model both against your two-year plan before choosing.
Upfront → white label · At scale → turnkeyWho needs to own the data and the platform?
If investors, a bank, a regulator or your own exit plan require platform ownership and data residency, choose turnkey. If the brand and the player base are what you are building, white label is enough.
Ownership required → turnkeyHow far from the standard product is your idea?
Theme and configuration changes fit white label. A custom front-end and integrations fit turnkey. New product mechanics need custom development on the core.
New mechanics → custom05Included on every route
The platform modules do not change with the route.
10,000+ games, 100+ payment methods and 20+ languages are available whichever way you launch. What changes is who holds the licence and where the modules run.
| Part | Module | What it does | Routes |
|---|---|---|---|
| P1-01 | Player account & wallet | Registration flows, KYC states, multi-currency wallets, limits, self-exclusion and audit log. | WL · TK · Custom |
| P1-02 | Game aggregation | Single integration to 10,000+ games from 100+ studios via aggregation partners; lobby management and game-level reporting. | WL · TK · Custom |
| P1-03 | Bonus & CRM engine | Deposit and free-spin bonuses, wagering rules, tournaments, cashback, segments and triggered campaigns. | WL · TK · Custom |
| P1-04 | Payments & risk | Cascading PSP routing, manual and automatic withdrawal approval, velocity rules and fraud flags. | WL · TK · Custom |
| P1-05 | Back office & reporting | Role-based admin, real-time GGR/NGR, provider reconciliation, regulator-ready exports. | WL · TK · Custom |
| P1-06 | Affiliate & acquisition | Built-in affiliate tracking with postbacks, or integration with your existing affiliate software. | WL · TK · Custom |
| P1-07 | Support & SLA | 99.9% uptime target, 4 hours critical response, 24/7 monitoring, service credits if we miss it. Inside the revenue share on white label; a support contract on turnkey and custom. | WL · TK · Custom |
06Crypto on any route
A crypto cashier is a configuration, not a fourth route.
Crypto-only, hybrid fiat and crypto, or a crypto add-on to a running brand: all three cashier models are available on white label, turnkey and custom, under the same licence rules.
BTC, ETH, USDT, LTC and stablecoins
Through licensed custodial or non-custodial gateways. Platform1 never custodies funds or keys.
Provably-fair, crash and instant games
From Spribe, Turbo Games, Smartsoft and others, alongside the standard slots and live catalogue.
10–14 weeks on white label
Gateway onboarding adds its own KYC cycle to the white label plan. On turnkey, plan for 6–9 months.
A gaming licence is still required
Crypto changes the payment rail, not the legal status of the activity. KYC thresholds and travel rule apply as the licence specifies.
